Hi— it’s me, Precious!!!  Some of you may be saying. “Hey— I’ve seen that girl before!”  Yup— I’m back.  I was adopted and have now been returned to A Promise of Love.  Some times things just don’t work out no matter how hard APOL tries with the application process.  

 

The past few weeks have been very hard for me as I was very sick for a while.  A tumor was found on my right front leg— it had to be removed.  This all happened before I was brought back to my friends at A Promise of Love.  There was a cascade of bad events  during and after the surgery. The surgery site on my leg started to deteriorate.  By the time APOL got me back and took me to the specialist at the University of Wisconsin at Madison— it was too late to save my leg.  The doctors at the University of Madison had to amputate my leg.

 

You would think this would cause me a lot of problems in my future life— but oh no!!  Not me!!  I’m a survivor.  I’m doing just fine on my three legs and am now  what is called a “tripod”.  What could have killed me has only made me stronger and as the song says “I’m a Survivor”.  

 

I am a sweet happy girl, love my people and I live in a foster home with other dogs,  I could be an only dog— but would really love to have a doggie friend in my new home.  I’m a big time snuggler and can never get enough tummy rubs!!  Even though I only have 3 legs I like to go for short walks and sit calmly in the car when going for rides.

 

Foster mom says I need a fenced yard and can’t go to a home with small children.  If you have some respectful and doggie experienced teenagers— that might work!

 

PS:  As an added bonus I have some of the prettiest, most spectacular ears!!  So if you are looking for a cuddly, snuggly, loving survivor— get that application filled out!!  I’m ready for my forever home!!!!
