Ernest most likely was an owner surrender when he came to us on March 5, 2020 from Greater Birmingham Humane Society.

Ernest fit in immediately with the pups at his interim home. He was a proud boy who kindly interacted with the resident pups.

He was taken to our Veterinarian a few hours after his arrival to have a health check. Ernest came out with flying colors. He does have what is called Typical Blue Coat Syndrome. Not a medical problem although he will need a bath once a week with a special shampoo for life.

Needing joy and sunshine in your life? Well, here it is all wrapped up in one beautiful boy! Ernest is as close to perfect as one can get. Ernie has passed all of his temperament tests with flying colors.What does that mean?

Ernie is polite and good with ALL pups, large and small, male and female. He enjoys running with the Big Dogs. He is quiet, happy and simply a moving bundle of LoVe.

Whomever adopts Ernest will be truly Blessed!

He is completely potty trained, leash trained and gives the best kisses. He really loves sleeping in the Big Bed with his people!

Ernest needs a securely fenced in yard, and doesn't do well in a crate. He does not destroy furniture or other items, is not really interested in toys. Ernest is a "People" pup.

Although Ernest loves being outside, he refuses to go out in the rain. If taken out on a leash, he has no problem getting rained on while relieving himself.
